Tomorrow begins a new school year!
I am never completely "off" during the summer months. I am usually at Carnegie-Mellon University for the 6 week Pre College program and I teach 3 weeks for the Marta Sanchez Dalcroze Training Center concurrently. I have some piano students here and there as well. But, I am never super busy like I eventually get during the academic year.
One things makes it easier - the Jewish holidays have my classes at one school starting in October. It is a sort of staggered beginning. But I still have a big change coming up. I am always a little nervous. I have done this for nearly 40 years in some form or another but the nerves still come. I think I am excited as well.
Meeting new students is exciting! They come to class to have a good time and I know I want to enjoy the classes as well.
