JCC Classes an Lucy Moses Classes
In my teaching I have two different types of classes. I teach with children alone and I teach parents and children together for preschool classes. This year I am finding that the lessons I devise for the parent and child classes, which started earlier in the year, need substantial revision to work with just children. I can present the same ideas and sequence the concepts the same, but certain elements do not work.
The parent child classes happened first so there is a several week lag in the lesson plans. In both situations there will be 30 classes. The JCC is where the children are alone and the Lucy Moses School is where they have a parent or caregiver in class with them, up to age 4.
I also wonder if it is because i am attempting to be more "organized". I have this thing where the theme of the week is how I did my teaching for most of my career. So, the story or game would be the same but presented in different ways for all of the let's say two to four year old classes each week. This seemed to work better, even though it is not as logical. I became more organized so that I could tell parents about the lesson plans online at the JCC. Funny how doing things " better" can be more difficult.
That's all for now!
